Gift Aid is a scheme set up by HM Revenue and Customs that allows charities to reclaim the amount of tax you would have paid on your gift to us. Currently, we can claim 25p for every £1 that you donate to us from your fundraising, at no additional cost to you.
If you would like to sign a Gift Aid declaration for Re:dish, please click here. Alternatively, if you are donating through the website you can make a digital declaration. If you donate in person to a member of the Re:dish team and wish for us to claim Gift Aid, please do let us know. Remember, we cannot claim Gift Aid without a declaration!
Currently, you can only make a Gift Aid declaration on donations made by UK tax payers.
If you are taking part in a Sponsored Event, you can also claim Gift Aid on any sponsorship raised. Just make sure that you get anyone who is sponsoring you (and is a UK Tax payer) to tick the ‘Gift Aid’ box on the Sponsor Form and give their address.
Unfortunately, we cannot claim Gift Aid on collections as we cannot prove that the money comes from UK Tax Payers – however, if you are having an event and you provide people with individual Gift Aid envelopes (to be added to the collection) we can then claim Gift Aid on their donations.
