Angie Stanton, Reddish Priest, is nominated for Community Star Award, thanks to Stockport Homes.

Rev. Angie (54), Parish Priest at St. Elisabeth’s Church, Reddish, has played a key part in setting up Re-dish, a community regeneration project. Angie said “I am thrilled to be nominated for this award as it reflects the hard work and dedication of all our volunteers and partners”. The charity is run by 50 volunteers, led by Angie and Laura Thompson-Harper. The Re-dish project aims to tackle some of the issues facing people in Reddish, including food poverty, debt, unemployment, isolation and a lack of opportunities for some young people. Angie said: “Re-dish Youth is all about creating a safe, comfortable space for children and young people to socialise and learn.”

The Awards Dinner is to be held at Woodley Sports Centre on Friday 10th October.
